About
OctoClean, a privately held company, is one of Southern California’s leading providers of janitorial and building maintenance services, with approximately $3.7 million in annual revenues. OctoClean provides a full range of services to a large number of industry types. Through an extensive network of expertly trained Franchise Owners, OctoClean has created a company that delivers relevant services to office, building and property managers.
History
OctoClean was formerly known as Service Pros, an employee-run janitorial services company founded in 1991. The success of Service Pros prompted the owners, Charles & Yvonne Stowe, to consider ways they could utilize their proven methods to expand their business. After exploring viable business models, they selected franchising. In November 2000, Service Pros was converted into the janitorial franchise company known as OctoClean and the first twelve people began operating as OctoClean Franchise Owners.
Today OctoClean, through its network of Master Franchise Owners, operates Franchise Support Centers in Southern California. Over 150 Unit Franchise Owners utilize the Franchise Centers staffed by OctoClean's management team and Master Franchise Owners.
Each Franchise Center provides the Franchise Owners with administrative, financial, training and customer service assistance. The OctoClean management team has over 48 combined years of experience in the janitorial and building maintenance industry. The majority of this team includes immediate and extended family and is accountable for support of Master and Unit Franchise Owners.
OctoClean’s Charter
At the heart of the company is its Charter which clearly defines OctoClean’s purpose, mission and core values. The Charter provides OctoClean with a road map to its business operation and a standard against which the company’s performance and impact can be measured.
“OctoClean is an enterprise whose purpose is to transform the janitorial industry. We empower and enable people to be successful business owners. We create programs and services that thrill our customers. Our mission is to have the rewards and freedom of successful franchise ownership available to all people.”
OctoClean‘s Future
OctoClean’s financial performance clearly demonstrates the viability of the business model and the services the Franchise Owners provide. Having doubled its gross sales between 2003 and 2008, OctoClean has positioned itself as an emerging leader in the janitorial services industry. OctoClean’s business plan calls for continued aggressive growth in both the number of active Franchise Owners and the markets in which OctoClean’s services are offered. Within the next five years, OctoClean will open Franchise Centers in the western United States. The total number of OctoClean Franchise Owners is slated to exceed 500 in California and Nevada.
